Unraveling Collectives & Dissolving Identities

this work could be hang on the wall

In this distant and captivating city, I initially perceived myself as an outsider, grappling with the profound unfamiliarity of the space. The yearning to assimilate, to be embraced by the collective, consumed me. However, little did I anticipate that as I pursued a sense of belonging, fragments of my individuality would gradually fade away...

This series of artwork embarks on a captivating exploration, delving into the intricate dynamics of human relationships. It reveals the profound interplay between individuals and groups, prompting us to reflect on our perception of internal and external spaces, as well as our innate desire for a sense of place and belonging.

Instead of seeking uniformity, these evocative works amplify the disparities and inequalities that exist within social contexts. They expose the raw reality that lies beneath the surface, shattering illusions of a leveled playing field. How do we navigate our position amidst the kaleidoscope of identities? How do we navigate the complex web of relationships that shape our lives?
