We realize that legal documents are sometimes hard to read, therefore we include below a summary of some key points that we wanted to make sure you didn’t miss.

You are important to us:

• We take your privacy seriously and we carefully balance the need to share information about you and your creation (to sell it) with your right to privacy. We therefore adhere to GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and other privacy best practices.
• We protect your Intellectual Property (IP) – When you sell through our marketplace you sell a one-of-a-kind creation, and while you commit that you created the item yourself and there is no identical item nor will there be one, you maintain the right to create other items inspired by this work or to create “industrialized” items like lithography or other fungible versions of it.
• We facilitate shipping – Shipping costs are paid for by the collector and Otentu makes the arrangements to have your creations picked up from your specified location. Packing, including necessary materials, are the responsibility of the creator.
• Once your item is accepted by the buyer, we will transfer 70% of what was paid to your account (PayPal or other supported account type).
• The buyer pays known taxes & duties (like import taxes or US sales taxes) when applicable, so you don’t need to worry about anything like that. You do however need to take care of other/local taxes (like income tax) if such apply to you.
• We ask buyers to let us know if they sell your creation onward, and will update you accordingly.

Our buyers are important too:

• Packing – The buyers and Otentu believe in you and appreciate your work and creativity, make sure you show the buyer your appreciation by packing the creation well. Make sure that the item will be well protected in transit and that the buyer will have a positive unboxing experience.
• Shipping – Once your creation is sold, we let you know immediately. You need to pack your work and have it ready for pick-up by the courier within 48 hours of the sale. We’ll provide you with information about pick-up time from your specified location and about how to adjust that time if needed.
• In some case a courier might not be able to pick-up from your location, in that case you will need to drop the item off at the courier location near you or to ship it yourself.
• We want buyers to be delighted with your work so we have given them the right to return the item within a few days, for any reason. If this happens, we will return the item to you and you will not receive payment.
• Based on your commitment that the item is an original, one-of-a-kind work, created by you personally, we will create a digital Certificate of Authenticity (COA) on your behalf. The COA will include the signature you provided when signing up. Once your creation is accepted by the buyer, we will send them the COA.

Other notable points:

• You are responsible for ensuring ownership over the item(s) you sell on Otentu is fully and solely yours, and yours alone. If anyone else claims that they own part, or all, of your creation then you will need to settle the matter with them directly
• You agree that Otentu may reuse the content you upload to promote your work and the platform.
• To meet tax reporting requirements you will need to complete W-8 or W-9 tax forms before we can transfer your earnings.
• The Otentu platform and marketplace are the intellectual property of Otentu Inc.
• Like all terms and conditions, ours too are subject to change without notice.
