Despite Competition

Rosa is a portrait of a character, named Rosa, of a story that I’m hoping to publish or air in the future. I tried using different shades of red from my red, white and even purple. For Rosa’s hair, I wanted to give her hair a dirty blonde look so I had to mix yellow and brown together. This piece showed me how to really get different values that I wanted that I didn’t have in my original palette.

My name is Jamie Agenor, I’m originally from Haiti and I attend Fashion Institute of Technology. My major is illustration for now but once I get my associates, I’ll switch to animation. The best way I can describe my art would be ‘I have some food in my bag, not that edible, the food you eat. No. I have some food for thought, since knowledge is infinite and it has infinitely fill on me.’ -Erykah Badu.
