The Craftschool Section

An illustrated perspective section of the "Craftschool" building

A school building. A place that contains different scenarios, different people and different spaces all together. I wanted to let us see all of those things simultaneously cutting through the building. By using architectural sections, we can see also how the indoor and outdoor communicate and how the in-between spaces might work in the project. This concept of this school is based on clarity and transparency in one hand and horizontal thick floors in the other hand, making the building light, clear and stable at the same time.

About

Hi! My name is David Di Veroli and I am an architecture student at Bezalel Academy of Arts in Jerusalem. My passion of art and crafts started when I was a child growing up in Rome, Italy. During my childhood I was surrounded by the beauty of the Roman architecture and the marvelous art pieces of the Italian landscape. Since I remember myself I love expressing myself by using just a pencil and a piece of paper, I like my work simple and clean. Later in my life I started modeling architecture projects and discovering the beauties of the cityscape of Jerusalem. My goal when I work is that the art explains itself by providing feelings to the people, by using different materials and techniques. My creative process always starts with simple pencil sketches and then develops into drawings or models using a simple technique to enhance one important element of the subject. My work focuses mostly on my architectural view of the world and the people living in it, which inspires me every day.

The biggest challenge was trying to use a color palette in an architectural drawing. To let the colors help me show the project better and bolder.
