At the time of drawing this, I was thinking of a storyline that could go with this piece. The story that I had wanted to tell was about a massive meteorite that hits the planet and cause large landmasses to float in the planet's atmosphere, on which humanity had built houses and building complexes. The rest of the storyline was going to be about how humans can overcome anything if they choose to work together towards a common goal. Even though I didn't complete the entire story, I still thought that this piece was very good and very well-made.

Every time I paint or draw, I am reminded of the cartoons that I would watch when I was younger. My goal is to become a visual storyteller and share my artwork and stories with others. Art and storytelling had inspired me to pursue a career in art, and I have hope that art can touch the lives of others and inspire them to do great things as well. My ultimate goal is to inspire others and share with them a side of the world that they hadn't seen yet.

The Process

The highlight of drawing this piece was designing the earth, the moon, and the sun. I had the most fun drawing the earth because I had always enjoyed drawing curved lines. I also had some fun designing the background, including the stars, because I had always admired outer space and the night sky.
