This is probably the largest traditional paintings I have ever made. It's quite old but I did do a fairly good job of preserving it. To give a succinct outline of how this painting initially came about, I was at a supermarket one day and thought "why not buy some desserts and paint them?", and so I did. Painting the background pink was an impulsive decision. Originally the table was covered with a white laced tablecloth, and I find painting things with intricate patterns and designs to be too tedious, so I decided to just go with my favourite colour, pink.
This was also my first-time painting with acrylic on a roll of cotton canvas as opposed to the usual framed canvas. It was different but an enjoyable experience.

Hopefully, the special person that acquires this piece will appreciate it just as much as I have for all these years.

Hi, my name is Rebecca. I am a young creative practitioner and I create illustrations. Not only is drawing a hobby of mine but it is also therapeutic for me. The Process

This painting was produced at a time when traditional painting was essentially my forte. Even though I have since moved towards more digital based mediums for creating art, I treasure this period as it was when I had started to paint on canvases of varying scales and sizes. As for my favourite part of making this painting, that was probably being able to eat the desserts at the end.
