This work represents the space that I enter when working on my artworks. This mixed media is a combination of pen, magazine scraps that I have collected and used. Ever since I was young, I loved to cut, paste and make my hands messy, it made me feel like an engineer. So magazine collaging is one of my favorite ways to make art because you can pick and choose the angle, the shape, and color derived from already made images.

Hi, my name is Seonhee (Gloria) Lee.
I am a Photographer and Fine artist based in Seoul, Korea.
Currently, I am studying in New York, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts and am expected to graduate in May, 2023.

The start of my interest in photography began during a trip to Myanmar in 2016. I captured the raw lifestyle of people on the streets through a lense of an old LG phone. When I looked at the collection, the colors, movement and the story of each unforgettable moment mesmerized me. Since then, I have been deeply interested in capturing portraits. I am currently in Fine arts major to broaden my experience in color and various mediums but I am planning on studying photography more deeply in graduate school in the future.
