About

Within a small town of erie colorado, I've admired the vacant buildings that stood silently on winding back roads. I was only child, but I've created stories about things that I've seen only for a few moments when we'd drive by. I made stories of creatures and ghosts that would live in these uninhabitable places. Folklore and imaginative stories had stuck with me as a child, learning of isolated figures that one might discover if they delve too far in treacherous environments. Folklore explores aspects of the human kind, how we implement human concepts onto imaginative creatures, the ideas of morality and the development of culture.

The Process

This was a guitar that I had since my younger years, but over time, through out all the moves, it had worn down and became unplayable but I still felt this intense desire to keep it and turn it into something new. Upscaling is not a new concept but taking something from childhood and creating it into something completely unrecognizable allowed for me to have this emotional process with this athestic work.
