Living in New York City as a graduated art student, I am constantly around such an effervescent environment. This which appears throughout my expressive oil painting artwork. My mission in my art, is to captivate the viewers mind and eye through vibrant colors, brushwork, blending, and style. My concepts come emerge deep within me, as I always try to evoke something that is worth noting. My subject matter is mainly surrounding positivity, the inner self, locations which influence the viewer, and many other changing theories. To inspire, and teach others with the magical mediums of 2-D art making is my chosen journey I was born for. I believe everyone has an artistic sense, and I want to bring it out within them through my arts visual and symbolic messages.

The Process

The process of this involved lots of symmetry, which I was challenged to imitate. I used a special tool called the french curve which offered symmetrical marks that I carefully placed to create a even, realistic reflection. For the painting process I used a very large brush dipped in thinned down oil paint which has a glaze effect in which I layered as each dried. The soft blending was a very relaxing process and I truly was able to let go in thought and be one with consciousness. I was very mindful of the relationship of this process in comparison to how nature makes me feel, which was very similar in that meditative state. I was challenged when adding in the detail of the frogs skin, as I wanted a textured yet blended effect. Adding in the final highlights was the final step of the process, which truly felt rewarding to being this creature to life.
