Tianqi Chen (TQ) is an award-winning Illustrator who likes to draw portraits and multiple figures in epic scenes. He is from China and now lives in New York.
Growing up in an artistic family, Tianqi is lucky to be surrounded by artists and creatives his whole life. He studied fine arts for four years in Beijing and illustration for four years in New York.
For Tianqi, drawing is everything. He would carry a sketchbook wherever he goes. He often just sits on a bench and draws people passing by. Most of his inspiration came from daily life. Some are big some are small. His works are narrative and good at telling stories behind the characters. He developed a unique style by combining his knowledge of Eastern and Western art forms.
