Living in New York City as a graduated art student, I am constantly around such an effervescent environment. This which appears throughout my expressive oil painting artwork. My mission in my art, is to captivate the viewers mind and eye through vibrant colors, brushwork, blending, and style. My concepts come emerge deep within me, as I always try to evoke something that is worth noting. My subject matter is mainly surrounding positivity, the inner self, locations which influence the viewer, and many other changing theories. To inspire, and teach others with the magical mediums of 2-D art making is my chosen journey I was born for. I believe everyone has an artistic sense, and I want to bring it out within them through my arts visual and symbolic messages.

The Process

I wanted to make a perfectly symmetrical drawing using the symmetry tool in the app procreate which is digital on my iPad and using an apple pencil. The way it’s exactly the same on both left and right sides showing for a ‘mirror reflection’ of our own selves. I started off with my simple line sketch shown in the photo uploaded, and then I built upon the drawing with layers of color. When each layer overlays another, it makes for a more saturated and valued drawing. This was also a technique of the old masters using oil paint, however I did a modern twist of this technique as a digital version. This artwork is already printed and framed, coming as a 8x8 inch print within a high quality matted 14x14 inch frame, which a photo of that is uploaded as well. it challenged me during the process to create a multi dimensional face structure which looks realistic yet unearthly. This process excited me to go through each step at my own timing.
