Living in New York City as a graduated art student, I am constantly around such an effervescent environment. This which appears throughout my expressive oil painting artwork. My mission in my art, is to captivate the viewers mind and eye through vibrant colors, brushwork, blending, and style. My concepts come emerge deep within me, as I always try to evoke something that is worth noting. My subject matter is mainly surrounding positivity, the inner self, locations which influence the viewer, and many other changing theories. To inspire, and teach others with the magical mediums of 2-D art making is my chosen journey I was born for. I believe everyone has an artistic sense, and I want to bring it out within them through my arts visual and symbolic messages.

The Process

I first made my vision in my mind come to life using the digital app procreate on the iPad. I collaged references of the face in profile, koi fish, and Mount Fuji. Carefully placing them where I felt made for a captivating composition, I then let my mind do the rest of the magic straight on the canvas as I was painting. This was very emotional for me to make, as I really envisioned myself as this representational being in a dream land of growth, love, and divine abundance. It was interesting because as I was painting this, new ideas arose within me. Such as blending the figure, hand, and koi in with the water. I felt it was an internal creative force telling me what to do. I learned to really take my time in the process, and allow myself to unleash my intuition.
