I made the piece after seeing the prompt for the competition. I wanted to show a person that was heartbroken for the world yet looked to the future with hope. I wanted to capture someone being the embodiment of hope. To strive forward. Despite his injuries and brokenness, he still gets up and hopes for a better tomorrow.
